Question

We have a neighborhood stray cat we recently discovered was pregnant. My family has taken her in to help care for her and her soon to be kittens. We have brought her in our home before as she likes to visit. She will let us know when she wants to leave or has to go potty by sitting at the door and meowing. (She, so far, has always gone potty outside) Sometimes she comes back and other times she does her own thing. But I read that as she nears delivery that she should be kept inside so we have been trying that. We bought her a litter box and kitty litter for her so she can do her business inside. But she refuses to use it and she hasn't been outside for 24hrs and I have yet to see her go. My question is should we give in and let her out and chance having her disappear, not knowing where she will go or keep working with her on using the litter box?

I was also wondering if you could give us any advice about her pregnancy and what to expect.

Thank you in advance for any advice you could give.
