She mostly eats dry cat food but just nibbles.I bought her some can food yesterday and she ate about 1/4 of 5.5oz can. She's kinda outdoor/indoor,mostly outdoor.

Dear friend,

Ant time a cat stops eating, she is either sick or in pain. With a ten year old, my first suspicion is a bad tooth. However, a kitty that goes out can catch feline illness's as well. Try feedig her canned food only because if she has dental issues,, chewing dry may be painful. Look in her mouth and see if there are any discernable problems.

With the amount of weight, your girl has lost, she is really in need of an exam and bloodwork so you can find out what is going o nwith her. A ten year old cat is not "old" by todays standards as cats are now living to twenty or more. She may just need a tooth pulled or a simple antibiotic. As long as she is eating (at all), she wants to live. as sick cats just quit. She may be able to be helped and brought out of this withh medication so please have her seen.It is also a good idea to keep her in - sick cats often hole up somewhere. That is why people think they go off to die. They are actually just hiding until they feel better but many are not found in time.

Please let me know how she is and if you stil have questions or wish to discuss this further, I will help in any way possible.

Sincerest best wishes,

Terrri
