Question

What could be the problem with my horse?

Sent to Cat Experts November 01, 2006 8:39 p.m.

My horse stumbles all of the time. Yesterday, when i was riding her she seemed to limp, i checked and her right front fetlock and lower cannon bone seemed to be hot and inflammed. I know this since i squeezed it and it was a bit squishy. What could this be? Can it make her unsound? I have only owned her for a couple of months. I was told she had an abcess, but not sure which hoof. Could the weather be acting up and exhisting problem? Can this effect her type of riding for her futue? I was also told that she used to be a ranch horse and she is around 9-11 years. of age. Thanks
