my pet Iguana dont seem to act normal it lays there ...

my pet Iguana dont seem to act normal it lays there like hes ot alive but if i take him from the cage and shower him he seems to perk up so what could the problem be in his cage is it possible that his cage is to small,also it is 55 in long
