IBD ?

Sent to Cat Experts June 18 10:00 PM

My 14 year old spayed female DMH has been having symptoms of pain and/or indigestion for 2 1/2 months now. Blood tests and x-rays were unremarkable. An ultrasound showed a thickening of the gastric mucosa and slightly enlarged lymph glands at the junction of the colon. She has no diarrhea or vomiting, but is clearly uncomfortable and intermittantly inappetant.
I have tried Prednisolone, Pepcid AC and probiotics all to no avail. Currently, she is taking Ulcinex (once or twice a day) and licorice root extract, slippery elm and Mylicon for her bloating. She has also had catupuncture four times which does seem to calm her and help her to sleep.
What else can I do to alleviate her nausea and bloating? She is now on a canned food diet of Wellness Turkey with no grains. I am considering raw, or is there something else I could try instead?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you, Gail
