My 2 mo. old kitten's eyes look fine other than the past 2 days her 3rd eyelid (on both eyes) is partially covering the eye ball. She's eating, drinking and playing as if nothing's wrong. Sould this be an area of concern?

Reply to Terri Riba's Post: Its not one eye that looks like this, it is both of her eyes. As far as I know she hasn't hurt her eyes. Her eyes look a bit glassy and she's been sleeping quite a bit for the past 2 days. After closely evaluating her behavior I've noticed her playful self isn't as active as normal. Though she shows little initiative.

Dear friend,

It is possible she has an upper respiratory infection or conjuctivitis or she was exposed to the herpes virus. In any event she needs to have this evaluated by a vet, especially if she is not quite herself.Young kittens are very fragile and can go downhill very quickly.

Please have a vet see her ASAP.

Let me know if you have any more questions. I will be happy to help.

Very sincerely,

Terri

Reply to Terri Riba's Post: I've done some reading on all that you've explained to me. However, I've found that the problem is more like Haw's Syndrome or Horner's Syndrome. The inside of her eyelids aren't inflammed. There are no sneezing, watery eyes, caughing, fever to suggest conjunctivitis. I'm not sure of the many kinds of herpes. I'm just becoming more concered as the evening gets later. I've rescued this kitten from the attic at my work place and don't have the money to rush her to the vet at this moment. I'm a single mom with 3 children with little means. I care dearly for the kitten and would want nothing more than to help her get better though I'm not able at this time. Do you know of any animal clinics that may help in my situation?
