We have a 5yr old Bouvier we inherited from family. He has tremendous dry skin. It is so dry that he will scratch and chew himself raw and causing pussing infections. We have had him to the vet several times and they will put him on antibiotics and anitfungal medications and he will get better. As soon as he stops the medicine it comes right back. They have also dosed him with steriods and antihistimines and they have not been successful. Now they are recommending some more expensive treatment and they are not sure what is wrong. Can you please give me some ideas
