Question

Baby kittens

Sent to Cat Experts September 04, 2004 4:14 p.m.

I have two 4 month old kittens. One of which (the girl) keeps trying to nurse off her brothers neck. Is this normal and should i be worried about the boys health concidering she is sucking on his throat right where his tubes are. Is there anything i can do to get her to stop? I have tried squirting her with a water bottle each time i catch her doing it but that doesnt seem to be working. please help!

It's not going to hurt her brother, may make his hair thinner there but if it did hurt, he would let her know. I wouldn't advise squirting anymore though because when you squirt her while she's doing it, you'll hit him and he's not doing anything wrong. I would ignore it and when it starts to bother him, he'll let her know. Just make sure you get them spayed and neutered and keep up to date with a vaccine schedule.

Good Luck!
