I have a 1 yr. old cat with CH & for the past 2 weeks he is refusing to use his litter box to poop, but he'll go in it to pee. I have had him for 3 months & up 'til 2 weeks ago he used his litter box all of the time. Nothing has changed & because of his disorder we clean out his box 2 times a day to avoid him falling in feces & getting messy. I do not think that he has an UTI because he doesn't cry out when he urinates & he doesn't lick himself to relieve any pain. Does this sound like a behavorial issue & how do I "retrain" him? One last thing... For the past 2 days I have enclosed him in a condo with his litterbox, food, water & toys & he hasn't had an accident outside of his litterbox. Will this reinforce correct litter box behavior & if so how long do I continue this for?
