Question

Migrating worms in feline kitten's brain

Sent to Cat Experts June 28, 2005 2:02 a.m.

Our 4 month old female kitten has been diagnosed with migrating worms in her brain. I was wondering what her chances are and what the measures that can be taken to save her. I will give you more details about it if you reply. I just saw that someone was online. Thank you

Are you referring to roundworms, which can cause brain damage?

Yes, they are roundworms. We aren't sure what will be permanent damage and what might still be the worms. It's just hard not knowing if she's going to make it through or not. She has her good and bad days. We definately want to do everything we can for her, if there is anymore we can do. I just thought maybe our town vets might not have all the knowledge that others might have. Thank you very much.
