I have a female cat, 3 years old, she has a litter of kittens (5) that are 1 month old. Recently (withing the last two days) she has had trouble breathing. She is taking short shallow hard breaths. I took her to the emergency vet last night, and he suggested asthma and or allergies. The Vet gave her a shot for her lungs, he heard wheezing, and something with her lungs. I am now noticing dieareah, and a lot of salavating, she has also stopped drinking water as much. could this be dehydration? or should I take her back to my local vet and let them do x-ray's?
