(Not a Cat Question?)

We recently lost our beloved cat(Chloe).

We recently lost our beloved cat(Chloe). She had been part the family for 19 years and very much loved(also very talkative and loving.
Our second cat(sneezy elf) is 16 years old and of course is very sad. She now is an only cat. We give her lots of hugs and love and reassurance.
What I would like to know is it unwise at this point(Chloe passed in February) for another kitten?
Will she adjust? She seems to be doing well--when she cries we go right to her and give her hugs and talk to her as we always have with both kitties.
