My kitty has something on her head that looks very bad. It looks like wound. Can you give me advice about that?

Can you describe the wound to me? Is it on the top of her head? How big is it? Is it bloody or pus-filled? Are there any other wounds? Is it swollen? The more information you can provide to me will help me to provide a better answer for you.

Is it swollen or flat to the head? Does your cat go outside at all? Can you tell me what part of the world you live in? (ie, USA - and which state, or the UK or another country)? It helps to know what type of insects and animals are in the environment so I can see if this was caused by one of those.

Can you tell me if the wound is swollen or puffy, or if it is flat against the skull? Has it gotten any bigger?
