Hi Nanasue,

You need to bring your kitten to the vet to be evaluated and diagnosed. From your description of her eyes, it sounds like she has an eye infection (conjunctivitis) or allergies. An eye infection must be treated with antibiotic eye ointment and possibly oral antibiotics also, if the vet feels it's necessary.

For allergies, the vet might prescribe an antihistamine to help ease the symptoms and make her more comfortable. Try to bring her to the vet ASAP, and for now, you can gently wipe away the eye discharge with a soft tissue--always wipe AWAY from the eye (towards the nose), and always use a new tissue for each eye, each time, to avoid any cross-contamination.

You can also apply dampened teabags to her eyes (or cool compresses) to alleviate swelling and irritation. However, these suggestions do not take the place of a vet visit. If she has eye infections or allergies, she will need medical treatment and medication.

I hope my suggestions were helpful and she's feeling better real soon!
