We are caring for two kittens that have no mother. They are about 3 weeks old.
They have stopped having bowel movements 5 days ago and we can't get them to start again. What suggestions do you have to correct this situation?

What are you feeding them?

Do they have any little teeth coming through yet?

when they had BM's were they normal?

Were you rubbing their tummy's with a cotton ball?

Dear friend,

Now that they have little teeth it is time to get them started on some canned cat food. Water it down to make a gruel and feed them some with a dropper - as soodnas they get used to the taste - they will want to lick it up from a saucer. You can also water the KMR down with a little plain pedialyte as that will add more fluid to their bowels. You can continue the KMR even when they are eating as that will provide added nutrition.

Kudo's to you for taking such wonderful are of these sweet babies. May God bless you.

Please let me know how they are doing and if you have any further questions. I am happy to help in any way possible.

Very sincerely,

Terri
