There are automatic litter boxes available from most pet supply stores that are triggered to scoop automatically a few minutes after the cat leaves the box. People have varying degrees of success with them but they should not be used with small kittens under 6 months of age, as they have been known to get caught in the cleaning tines as they are not big enough in many instances to reset the cleaning device. I believe the main automatic litter box is called Litter Maid. Please let me know if I can assist further.

I am looking for something I do not have to clean every day. May be every 3-4 days. This is just incase I went away on a weekend and had to leave my cat for the weekend. also I am looking for something that will not cost a lot but is reliable. I did see one that you only had to change once a month but it seemed to pricy adding in the cost of the cartidge replacement every month. Hope you can be of help.
