My queen had kittens on Thursday. I am very sure that she has mastitus. What can I do?

She's going to need to be on antibiotics. You want to try to catch it before her milk goes bad from the infection. Amoxicillin or clavamox is safe for her and won't hurt the kittens. Put warm compresses on her breasts as often as you can, and I would suggest putting a round "dot" bandaid over the infected nipple so the kittens don't try to nurse from that breast. Put the warm pack on for 5 minutes and then cover the nipple. Take the bandaid off when you are warming her breast to allow it to drain if needed. Getting her on the antibiotic and keeping the kittens off of the affected breast are the two most important things. Please let me know if I can help further-and congratulations on your new babies!

Is 102.6 a normal temperature for queen's second day? She is a Siberian cat, 11 pounds.

That is a bit elevated - 101 - 101.5 is normal. Do her breasts feel hot and hard?

They do not feel hot, but they are a little harder. They seem to go softer as I massage her.
