My coworker gave me two kittens last night and they are pretty much wild they are not use to being in homes or around people. Once I got them they just hide under our couch every once in awhile I will see one then it will immediately run under the couch. How long will it take for the kittens to get used to us? And How should we approach them should we just hold them or just wait until they are more comfortable?

They are not going to come to you ask for attention so you need to force it. Handle them as much as you can for the next few weeks. Just pick them up and play with them sit with them. You want them to realize that human hands are a good thing and the only way to do that is to socialize them.
