Red ring around cat's eye

I just adopted a 4 1/2 month old female kitten (tabby) 2 days ago, and she looked great, but just today I see that she has a pretty bold red ring around her right eye, just about where her skin (or hair) meets her eye. So it's not the itself, but a circle around the edge of it. It also seems somewaht more squinted than her left one. What do you think this may be? Should I be worried?
