Dear friend,

He is dehydrated for some reason. He has fading kitten syndrome. THis could be from intestinal parasites like coccidia. You MUST take immediate action or you willl lose him. Get unflavored pedialyte and canned cat food. Give him one dropper of pedialyte every ten minutes for an hour. Then water down canned cat food to a gruel and give him one dropper every ten minutes for two hours. Son you do no have to run right out and waste time - add a pinch of salt and sugar to a glass of water and get him started with that. Also put a drop of ancake syrup right on his tongue. May sure he is warm so he can metabolize the food properly.

PLease let me know how it is going.

Very sincerely,

Terri

Oh I am so very, very sorry. My heart goes out to you. Little kittens are very fragile and once they get dehydrated thye go downhill very quickly. Since both kittens gat sick maybe the moms milk went bad. Do you have any more or was it just those two??

Watch that baby like a hawk!!! If he stops eating - acts weak - has diarrhea, anything unusual take him to a vet. If the moms milk is bad he sould be weaned and started on canned cat food right away so he does not get sick. He is definititely old enough to be eating food now.

Let me know what is happening with him.

Terri
