i have a kitten almost a year old. he has been sneezing ...

i have a kitten almost a year old. he has been sneezing alot with alot of mucus coming from his nose. he's an outside cat, he was wild when i found him. it's been going on for a while now. he eats fine and acts like a normal playful kitten. can u help me with his nose

Cats can suffer from upper respiratory infections much like people.

I suggest you keep an eye on her. If the sneezing continues or the cat has yellow or green mucus from the nose, you will want to see the vet first thing for possible antibiotics.

If she is congested, you can use pediatric (not adult) nasal saline drops to help clear the mucus from the nose.

Cats can also suffer from allergies. If you suspect this, you should talk with your vet about using an antihistamine to help her feel better. You can also flush the eyes with warm saline to help clear any debris or irritants.

If she can't eat, you need to see the vet immediately.
