What can we do to save him?
Sent to Cat Experts October 24 08:38 PM

I have a cat that is losing the use and control of his back legs. This has occurred in the last 4-5 days, we took him to the vet. and he thinks it is spinal meningitis. He started him on treatment and when the treatment showed no sign of improvement, changed the treatment. This cat has never been outside but is subject to cats that do venture to the outside. There is no chance of spinal inujury.   After 3 days the subject has started "spotting" urine in the floor. As to suggest loss of bladder control. The subject cannot control his walking and negotiating around the house, but seems happy, and purrs alot when contacted. This cat is only 9 months old. Please give any advise you can. Our vet took x-rays to rule out any injury. He has a high white blood count which indicates infection. Count of 30,000. This feline still eats and drinks willingly. Please help out if you can.
