My cat's chin is swollen. It looks like it has a blister on it, but only blood comes out of it. He cries if you touch it. When I take him to the vets, he has to be put under, so I would like to know if this is something more than just an infection. What do you think?

Reply to Theresa's Post: He's an indoor cat only. There has been no fleas in the apartment. He's eating and drinking fine. No drooling, though.

His entire chin began appearing discolored about a week ago. Then, his chin started to get this blister-like swelling. It had a scab on it. Now, it is pretty swollen. Now It is pretty swollen.
Why did you ask about multiple red bumps? I can not see multiple bumbs, but am not able to investigate thoroughly (He is a very big cat!)
