Cats diet change
Sent to Cat Experts July 10 12:52 PM

I have two cats, sisters, that are almost 15 years old. One of them has been on Feline C/D because of urinary problems for most of her life. They both have been eating the same diet. My questions is that now they are older, is this diet too rich for them and should I change to something else? If so, what?

I would not change their diet without talking with your vet first. If your cats (or at least one of them) is prone to stones or urinary crystals, they are prone to these crystals for a lifetime. So, staying on food that prevents urinary disorders is the best idea.

You can certainly discuss it with your vet at your next visit but I would not recommend a change.

Let me know if you still have questions.
