My cat's limping on is back leg but he put's

My cat's limping on is back leg but he put's weight on it . He still eats and gets up to use the litter box and greets me at the door but i see it does bother him. I havent taken him too the vet cause hes doing his same routine{so i figure its just a sprain}.How long before I just take him to the vet?

is he usually indoors only? Did he have any kind of trauma that may have caused the injury that you know of? How long has he been limping?

Reply to Traci's Post: He's an indoor cat.Im not sure what happened but he runs around and jumps all over thing like a mad cat,lol.He's been limping for about 2-3 days and its around the top of his hip.
