My 9 month old "special needs" cat, got his

My 9 month old "special needs" cat, got his head caught in garage door and left some brain damage (so not real smart) then got hit by my car in the garage got broken foot(no internal damag) and just last Tuesday was diagnosed with a broken leg near the hip socket. The vet wants to do surgery to remove bone that will die due to no blood circulation at the minimun costs of $700.00. Is this surgery really necessary. My husband and I are at odds concerning this, since we are quite strapped finacially at his time.
