Sent to Cat Experts May 02, 2005 10:08 p.m.

my cat's toung is hanging out, been that way for a couple days. She is 12 years old, she also has been drooling a lot lately. It is not that hot here yet. She is also hanging around more by the door.

REPLIED Check Mark

Nausea can do this as well as significant gingival disease, or oral ulcers from a virus or systemic infection.

I strongly recommend you take her into a vet. A 12 years old she is considered a senior and needs to  be seen when changes occur in her behavior.

one of the cats has blood in the stool. There are 3 of them. Hard to know which one is doing it. Also there was loose stool. Just noticed this.

ACCEPTED Check Mark

It probably is safe to assume that it may be from the same cat. This cat doesn't feel well...bloody stool can be from colitis, rectal staining, or other...

Again, this cat needs to see a vet. They can take a look at the feces when you go in to determine if this is the cat with fecal blood or not.
