What's wrong with my cat?

My cat, Essence, is about 10 yrs. old. She's pretty healthy but as of late, she has shown signs of illness. Her left paw has nearly gone bald and the area where the hair is missing there are tiny red lesions. Sometimes her eyes water really bad as well, almost as if she's crying. What's wrong with her?
