Cat feel down stairs

My cat recently took a tumble down the stairs while my little sister was carrying him.They both fell. She is fine but the cat seems to have a minor injury. Since it’s Christmas the local vet is closed. What symptoms should I look for to make sure that he (our cat) is not seriously injured?
