RAW FOOD DIET FOR A MAINE COON CAT

i have a maine coon cat my vet said he`s on the thin side he`s about 14 months and weights 9lbs and 2oz he don`t really like his food so i tried a raw food diet which he seems to love is this diet okay for him?
