(Not a Cat Question?)

The fluid is just under her skin. Is it normal for her to throw up.

My cat a female 17 years old. We have had her since she was a kitten. She started not eating or drinking and when she would walk she looked like she was going to fall over. She has one kidney as one has shrivled up. The blood test shows that her (and I don't remember what you call it) kidney test was 125. They then hydrated her for two days. She seems really good right now. Well we decided that we would hydrate her every other day. We have to rap her up in a towel to hold her, which is not very successful. Needle in, okay so far then when we start the drip all hell breaks loose. 100 mg. She finally got away from us and the needle came out as she ran away. She then get what I would call a thick mouth. She starts making a sound with her tounge like she is really thirsty. Its hard to describe. She then throws up, first clear then yellow. Vet said she is just probably nervous, upset. Any suggestions?

Reply to Tammy Falkner's Post: We are warming the fluid before we inject her. We are using Normolsol-R

Reply to Tammy Falkner's Post: Yes it was prescribed by our vet. We have changed to a different fluid and she does not throw up so far.
