Why does my cat play with her poop?

She will pull it out of the box and bat it around like a toy..she has plenty of toys but prefers her poop??

What kind of litterbox do you have? Covered, uncovered? What room is it in? What kind of litter do you use?

How old is she? Is she still a kitten?

For how long has she been doing this?
