my cat is limping and he won't lift his back end ...

my cat is limping and he won't lift his back end up. He is also barely walking around unless to get our attention. He doesn't seem to be in pain but certainly uncomfortable. He is 8 months old and not neutured Should we bring him in to the emergency vet or wait until open hours?
