Dear friend,

Not eating for two days is VERY serious and can lead to her liver failing. She may have an abscessed tooth or other dental infection as that is quite common in older cats and will cause drooling. Inspect her mouth for any abnormalities. If so, she will need an antibiotic ASAP and should see her vet imediately. Other possibilities for her symptoms are kidney, liver, thyroid or pancreatic disfunction. Droolng is a symptom of pain or nausea. Inappetite is the result of pain or discomfort so please have your girl seen ASAP. In the meantime you can give her a dropper of plain pedialyte every ten minutes for an houue to.keep her hydrated. Also a dropper of watered down canned cat food every 5 minutes for a half hour to keep her nourished.

Please let me know what was wrong and how she is doing. If you have any further questions, I will be happy to help.

Very sincerely,

Terri
