Is my cat near due date?

Someone brought a pregnant female cat to me yesterday, and said that she first noticed that the cat was pregnant 3rd week of August and thought the cat would of had her babies by now. She brought the cat over to me, because I told her I would be willing to take the cat and give it a home and help the mom cat nurse and raise her babies and find homes for her babies. --- The lady that brought the cat over was not patient about waiting the cat out to have her babies due to her going out of town next week. I don't know the first thing about cats having a baby. When should she be having babies? how long do the pregnancy in a cat last?
