Cat bite wound needs antibiotics

I have 3 cats. Two of them venture outside. The one indoor only cat has what it appears to be a cat bite wound. The cats do have small fights now and then. I just noticed the wound last night. I have very little money at this time. My regular vet is closed on weekends. I know I could of got what is needed from him. The Emergency clinic is not an option. I now what needs to be done to clean the wound. I have worked in kennels and Pet stores. I have rescued many wounded animals and helped care for them. Working with animals I know the risks and the problems that can occur .I know she needs antibiotics. I was hoping I could get these without the cat being seen? The wound is two punctures top rear back area slightly off to the side. The wound was drianing last night and is now starting to dry. She is in good spirits, and eating well. Can you help me on this matter or guide me towards the right path.

It's illegal for a vet to prescribe medication without actually seeing the cat. If you have a relationship with a vet and he has confidance in your diagnostic abilities, you may be able to get him to phone something in to a pharmacy for you.

The only treatment that I can advise at home is irrigation with a peroxide or betadine solution. Then apply some neosporin ointment.

Puncture wounds typically require a drain, as I'm sure you're aware.

Let me know if you need more help.
