Hi Customer (name blocked for privacy),
The states of cats' noses are usually not great indicators of wellness or sickness. However, a persistently very hot nose, or runny nose, would be an indication something is wrong. Also, as you mentioned, you know how your cat's nose usually is, and since you saw a change, you were rightfully concerned.
From your description of today's circumstances, I do agree with you that her hot nose was probably caused by the stress of being in close proximity to another, strange cat, and also being in a new environment.
I'm very happy to hear that she's totally back to normal now, and comfortably back in her own, familiar surroundings! I'm sure she's happy, too!
