My cat Abigail has a 103 fever, achieness, and an unwillingness to get up and eat or drink for herself. She will if I bring it to her.
She has had two steriod shots, a short course of Baytril and is now in Baytril again along with 5 mg. of prednisone for 3 days and then every other day for 5 more days.
We have been going through all of this since her vaccinations on 7/24. At first they thought it was a reaction, antibiotics worked. Then it came back 7 days later. Then she started acting lame, like walking really hurt. Another steriod and we were goo for 7 days. Now it's back again, fever and all. My Dr. took x-rays of the favored foot and a blood test on 7/24 with vaccinations. I fell like we're missing something important. She's only 5. What should I ask/demand that be done next?

Reply to Terri Riba's Post: Yes, one was Rabies (3 year) and the other was the FVRCP (1 year). One was given in the right flank the other in the right should. Not sure which is which.
Along with this she had a Wellness Profile completed on her. The Profil showed she was in excellent health. After I e-mailed my question to you she wound up on Enrofloxacin 22.7 mg, again. This time for 10 straight days. She is also still on the 5 mg. pills of prednisone. At this point she's on that every other day. She seems better. I guess it is a waiting game once all meds are finished. We're hoping she does not have reoccuing syptoms within 7 days as she has had the last 2 times! :-(
