(Not a Cat Question?)

My cat has started to wag his tail wildly all the time
Sent to Cat Experts August 17 12:24 PM

My 2year old male neutered cat now swings his tail back and forth wildly like a dog. Is this a symptom of some irritation? We aquired him and his brother as kittens. He is getting much more loveable but still a bit skittish in personality

Dear friend,

This can be a symptom of pain, fear, frustration, agitation, and means your cat is thinking about what is bothering him and how to resolve it.

If he is eating drinking and pottying normally - I would just watch him for any developing symptoms of illness or pain.

If he is very stressed you can get some feliway plugins to safely calm him at www.catfaeries.com or some pet supplies.

This may also be a conflict between him and his brother as each vies for the head cat position.

Please let me know if you have any more questions. I will be happy to help in any way possible.

Very sincerely,

Terri
