Abnormal cat behavior

My cat is a little over 2 years old. Over the past week he's been acting very skittish, meowing alot more then usual (although we were away for the weekend) not really eating, and this morning had bm accident on our bathroom rug. he's never had a bm accident before.
Should I be concerned?

Reply to Terri Riba's Post: He's been grazing, but we haven't refilled his food bowl since Sunday...usually we refill it every day/day and a half.
He's a strictly indoor cat.

I'm not sure if he's been having potty problems. after he had the accident on the bathroom mat this morning I cleaned out his litter box and have been keeping an eye on it.

Try giving him something he cannot resist like canned cat food or tuna and let me know if he eats.I am standing by to hear from you

Reply to Terri Riba's Post: The problem with that is back at the end of may we had to take him to the ER for a blocked UT. so the only cat food he can have is special formula, no treats. Occasionally I give him baby food turkey because he loves it, and I figure if you can feed it to a baby it won't hurt our cat. but I don't have any on hand right now.
Actually we do have a can of Tuna....would that be safe to give him with his UT problem?

Give him the tuna - it will not hurt him one time. If he had UTI's that may be what is bothering him but I want to know if he will eat - its important.

Reply to Terri Riba's Post: He did eat the tuna and licked the plate clean. Afterwards I tried to get him to chase the flashlight and he wouldn'd do it, which is extremely odd.
Thanks for your input. I think I am going to make a vet appt tommorow.

Reply to Terri Riba's Post: I took him to the vet this morning. The vet said that externally everything seems to be ok. The did some bloodwork just to make sure. We'll have those results Monday afternoon. He also suggested that either I try to get a urine sample from him or we take him to the vet overnight for them to get one from him.

I still think something is wrong. We've had some storms here in Phila over the past week. The vet asked if I thought he may be scared from the storms. Is it possible for something like that to have a residual effect?
