Hate to bother you, but, I have a cat or should I say she has made her home here. She was abandoned from one of the neighbors next door, the one left who lives there, doesn't care about her. She is loveable as long as she is on the ground, cant pick her up. She started making her home here after the hurricane. She just recently started to use a litter pan, only because I had to put dirt in it. I noticed she pee'd right in front of me, and it was on a small area rug. It looked pink, and the way she was using her muscles from head to toe, I though she might be having kittens. But, no she is just fat and seems to have a urinary infection. My vet gave me a pill to try to sadate her and bring her in. Needless to say, she wouldn't take the pill, and NO ONE has been able to get her in the carrier either. Is there anything I can give her to releive her of this. She tries to pee all the time, and stays in the same place for 10 minuets trying to go, but only dribbles. Is there anything I can do or give her with out trying to trap her? Thank You for your time. Leigh Ann

Dear Leigh Ann,

Try to get a mobile vet to come over and see her. She really needs an antibiotic or she can become seriously ill. She amy have a life threatening uterine infection called pyometra so take care of this ASAP.

Please let me know if you have more questions and how she is doing.

Thanks for taking such good care of her. May God bless you.

Very sincerely,

Terri

Reply to Terri Riba's Post: We don't have any mobil vet, and has scratched everyone who has tried to put her in the carrier. I even tried to hide a relaxer from the Vet in Tuna, and she wouldn't touch it. Is there anything maybe from a feed store that would help until we can find a way to get her to the Vets?

Ther is a thing called rescue remedy you can get at a pet supply but she will have to drink it. her is also a meat flavored capue made foe putting meds in that she might eat.

The best thing to do is put down food and while she is eating throw a blanket over her and get her into a carrier. Some vets will make housecalls in special circumstances - calll and ask.

You have to do something because she really needs to be seen
