Reply to Jessesmom's Post: Our male cat acts like he has something stuck in his mouth. We looked with a flashlight but could not see anything. He has been pawing at his mouth for the last 3 hours. His mouth is open and his tongue is sticking out. He wont drink or eat anything. How can we help him?

Hi again,

Under the circumstances, the only thing you can do is bring him to an Emergency animal hospital (if your vet is closed) so a vet can examine his mouth and see if there's something stuck in there, or if he has a tooth, gum or tongue problem. If you've already looked in his mouth with a flashlight and saw nothing, I do think it's time for medical intervention.
