My 11-year old female cat ran a fever for a day, was very lethargic, and vomited a huge amount of partially digested food. We watched her for a the day, and by evening she was feeling better and even ate a little. She "seems" fine this morning, should I take her to our vet anyway for a check-up? She is an inside only cat.

If you haven't had her in to a vet in a while for a general checkup then yes...take her in. It can't hurt. If you have had her in then being she's acting fine, I would continue to watch her closely for any signs of discomfort or should her appetite or bathroom habits change then a vet visit is a good idea.
