Reply to Terri Riba's Post: She has been like this for about 5 days. She has been under the care of our vet since Thursday night. He has been treating her with predizone, antibotics and valium.

Dear friend,

It is likely your cat has an inner ear disorder called vestibular disease. It resembles motion sickness in human and causes these symptoms. You can read about it here:

http://www.marvistavet.com/html/body_vestibular_disease.html

Please print this out and show it to your vet. He should stop the steroids and the valium immediately as only the antibioics are necessary. In fact, the valium will make her even more confused and disoriented.

Please let me know what he says and how she is doing. If you still have questions - I will be happy to help.

Very sincerely,

Terri
