Question

my cat's internal bleeding

Sent to Cat Experts June 25, 2006 10:30 a.m.

can putting a cat on ivy too much and geeting too much ivy fluids in him create internal bleeding and or stroke? My cat had high fever and his uktrasound showed possibility of cancer because part of his intestine walls had thinckened. But before we had achance to tdo the exploretory surgery becasue of his high fever (which eventually came down to normal by antibiotics) they kept putting him on ivy. On the day before I ended up putting him to sleep the white of his eyes where blood shot and there werer red streaks in the green part of his eyes and when the vet shaved part of his leg to give him the final injection there brising under his skin that was like patches of blood.
They said he had had a stroke. He could not stand up. when he tried he would fall over. When he would raise his head he would be wagging form side to side severley. And at the end he kept getting weaker and weaker and just mainly wanted to sleep. So could too much ivy fluid have caused this part of his problem?
I did have to put him to sleep because he started getting worse by the hour. Please give an asnwer.
