She is about 7 years old and her last bowel movement was a day and a half ago. She is still eating, peeing, but still seems to be running around and playing like she usually does. She has also still been drinking water.

Dear friend,

You can give your girl a half teaspoon of mineral oil mixed in some wet food. That should produce a bowel movemen in 2 to 6 hours. If this is a chronic problem do not feed her dry food - feed canned only and put a teaspoon of canned pumpkin (not pie filling) in the wet food daily. That will add fiber and fluid to her bowel and keep her stools consistant. You can also give her a teaspoon daily of plain yogurt to keep "good" bacteria in her system.

Please let me know if you have any more questions. I will be happy to help in any way possible.

Very sincerely,

Terri

Hi there,

Thanks. What is mineral oil? Is this something I can get at a grocery store or do I have to go to a pet store?

You are very welcome. You can get mineral oil in any drugstore or supermarket. It is for people. Just give one half teaspoon today and let me know what is happening. I will be here til 10.00 pm EDT tonight.
