My cat was meowing weakly and was kind of lying around. She wasn't herself at all. Then she started to drool and panted hard. She wouldn't get up unless she wanted to move to someplace else

How old is your cat? Does she go outside at all? What was she doing right before this started?

She is 15 years old and she doesn't go outside at all. The vet thinks she may had a stroke.

It does sound as if she had a stroke or possibly a blood clot. the other possibility I was considering is a blockage of some sort. It sounds like you have had her into the vet. Does he have her on any type of treatment program and how is she doing today?

The vet thinks she ate something toxic. But then I am thinking maybe she was dehyrated because we were out of town for a few days and it was her first time being alone in the house. Our other cats has passed on. So I don't know if she really ate or drank anything while we were gone. However, she is doing much better. At her old self right now which was a relief.
