I have a cat who has been sneezing for the past 2 days. His nose is warm and he doesn't hhave as much energy as usual. Is it possible he has a cold or is it more serious? He is a fine specimen of a feline and usually never ill. He had a wierd virus 1 year ago that cost me hundreds of dollars for it to just run its' course. I had to force feed him and force fluids. He is not at that point but I was just wondering if a cat can get the sniffles. He is now limited to the house. His female companion has been out in the back yard but that is as far as she has been and she is fine.

If he is sill eating and drinking and he has no colored (yellow or green) discharge from his eyes or nose then I would wait a little longer. They can get upper respiratory infections that just have to run their course. If he quits eating or drinking or gets a colored discharge then it is time for a vet visit.
