ill cat

Sent to Cat Experts October 06, 2004 4:17 p.m.

How to take my cat’s temperature? do I do ear or anus. She has been lethargic for a couple of days she has not eaten much I have forced some water in a syringe. No visible wounds, I have held her, so I do not believe she has any internal injuries. She is 6 years old, spayed. Inside and outside cat. I moved recently and she went out all nite, right before she started haveing these symptoms, the nite she was out I heard a cat fight on my frount porch, I went to see a big tom cat was on my porch and she was the one who screamed. She has not been outside since, and the Tom Cat has been hanging outside my house at nite, as if he is waiting to bully my cat again. I know she has fever and I know she is not feeling well, she is usally alot more active and talkative. I do not want to take her in to the vets, if I can treat her at home I also do not want to kill her. When I can not find where she is hiding and call her name after about 15 minutes she will come out and speak, but then retreats to rest again. please help me, Customer (name blocked for privacy)
