I am assuming none of the wounds appear to be so deep as to need stitches and that there can be no damage down deep. I hope you cat has all it's vaccinations up to date. If you do not know the other cat and if you do not know whether it is also current on vaccinations, you might want to give your vet a call to ask advice about that part of it. Cleaning the wounds with Hydrogen Peroxide will do wonders to keep down infection. So long as you see it tending to foam, there is a need for more irrigation of the wound. Depending upon the depth of the bites or scratches, you may want to clean them 3 or 4 times a day, at least. The problem with cat bites is they have such a high level of bacteria in their mouths. The deeper the wounds, the more likely infection could set in. You will have to keep a very close eye on it for awhile. If you see any indication of infection setting in or if you start to detect a foul odor from the wounds, you need to get to the vet right away for more indepth treatment and some antibiotics. As for comforting, there is nothing more comforting for a cat than a nice lap to lay on, good pets and lots of loving. Then a nice cozy box with some soft bedding to cuddle in when it's bedtime for the lap. Some extra favorite snacks couldn't hurt anything either. Images available only to Customers.
